The program, which began in stores across the country on Aug. 30,
will allow anyone with an iPhone contract to trade in their used phone
for store credit, which can be used towards the purchase of a new
iPhone. However, the used phone must be in working condition to get
money for it.
The announcement of Apple’s recycling program comes just before the
release of the new iPhone 5S, which will have a fingerprint reader,
